The ferry between Montmagny and Isle-aux-Grues is free and usually operates according to the tides from mid-April to mid-December. The crossing takes about 30 minutes.
Since there is a 23 car limit on the ferry, we strongly suggest that you be in line with your car at least 90 minutes in advance.
NOTE THAT THE SOCIÉTÉ DES TRAVERSIERS DU QUÉBEC DOES NOT ACCEPT RESERVATIONS FOR THIS FERRY!
Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure time. On the island, we are located immediately to the right of the wharf.
Note that we offer the rental of
e-bikes. You can therefore leave your car in the free parking lot at the Montmagny river station, cross as a pedestrian, and cycle around the Isle. You will therefore be assured of having availability for you on the ferry, both outbound and inbound.
